How Does it all Work?
We book you in for a comprehensive Aassessment and GaitScan with one of our Physios during which we determine whether Orthotics would be of help.
Gait Scan
GaitScan is state of the art computer hardware and software that helps Our Physios assess and analyse what happens in your feet when you put weight on them. We will use GaitScan to record the timing sequences as you stand, walk or run across a force plate and then produce a report and 3D image of the pressure distribution under your foot.
GaitScan analysis combined with the Physios experience and knowledge, and a full physical assessment, will allow us to determine if foot abnormalities are a cause any pain / imbalance that you might be feeling, and whether custom made orthotics will benefit you.
Orthotics
Orthotics are either temporary (designed to last 2-6 months), or customised orthopaedic insoles (lifetime guarantee) that fit comfortably inside your shoes which help restore normal balance and pressure on your muscles and joints, letting you get on pain free with your sport or daily life.
Dependant on your need, we can prescribe numerous shell strengths and flex so that they are perfectly suited to your requirements be it, field sports, runners, golf, men’s work boots or even women’s fashion…. to name just a few of the types available.
Our customised Orthotics (TOG) have a lifetime warranty against breakage.
